Professor Suzanne Chambers is the Dean of the Faculty of Health at University of Technology Sydney. She is a registered nurse and psychologist who has worked as a practitioner and researcher in psychological support for people with cancer for over 25 years. Suzanne is an Academic Member of the College of Health Psychology within the Australian Psychological Society.

Suzanne has published extensively on the psychosocial effects of cancer and effective ways to enhance quality of life and psychological outcomes after diagnosis and treatment. In particular she has focussed her research effort on the supportive care needs of men with prostate cancer and their families.

She has led and supported research grants from esteemed agencies such as the National Health and Medical Research Council, Australian Research Council, Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, Cancer Australia, Beyond Blue and Cancer Council Queensland. She has over 230 peer reviewed publications, chapters and reports. Her research is published in internationally leading journals including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, The Lancet and Lancet Oncology, and Psycho-Oncology. Suzanne holds adjunct appointments with Edith Cowen University, Griffith University and University of Southern Queensland. Suzanne leads a National Health and Medical Research Council Centre for Research Excellence in Prostate Cancer Survivorship.
