Chichun Lin holds a Doctorate of Psychology in marital and family therapy and three master’s degrees in counselling psychology (Shanghai, China), marital and family therapy (California, U.S.), and mental health (Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland, U.S.). He focuses on exploring marginalized groups’ mental and sexual health issues, their clinical issues in a counselling setting, and their barriers to seeking counselling services. To date, he published 8 peer-reviewed journal articles (one in Mandarin and seven in English), provided over 3,000 clinical hours in the counselling setting, had 2 years experiences in teaching graduate students, and has been an approved supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and a registered clinical counsellor approved by British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. As a Postdoctoral Fellow at MHR, he will be leading the analysis on two projects, one focusing on suicidality among queer men with HIV and the other on the mental health of men with prostate cancer.
