Dr. Carla Hilario is an Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Alberta. Her program of research focuses on health equity and mental health promotion with diverse youth. Her doctoral work examined the social context of mental health from the perspectives of immigrant and refugee young men. She is currently leading a multi-site study exploring stakeholder perspectives on the mental health and well-being of newcomer young men in Alberta and British Columbia.
